What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Pulled the grill, installed the front camera, and routed the lines through the grommet and up over the instrument cluster to the head unit, lots of room up there(used a piece of 1/4" air tube to fish them). Put in an add-a-fuse and ran power to the center console fuse panel for ignition on stuff, also up and over. Rtmr will still be used in the engine bay but this eliminates a bunch of additional wires through the grommet. Also spent some time measuring and cutting 4 pieces of awg10 for some runs into the cab, they'll use the same route but continue down to the center console area(two are for the seat heaters, one for my compressor relay, and one for a ground buss mounted just aft of the stick. I may also drill in my own grommet for those 4 awg10's.

 

Got my ARB Bumper ready to prime and paint for tomorrow! Winch was burnt out as well as the blinker lights.

 

Sounds like you put the brackets under your hood hinge... I believe they should be mounted on top.

It’s going to be interesting... combining the elements of a few different styles of my creations into a single grill... should turn out pretty cool.

 

Exactly how the exhaust shop did mine. Has been perfect.

The added clearance from the flat skid makes so much of a difference. That stupid exhaust kick out was what I would hit constantly when off road.

 

Yep, I constantly high centered on mine. I’m excited to get out and test the new clearance. I’ll be pairing that with a rear locker maiden voyage, so I’ll be unstoppable!

 

Very nice! I love my rear locker. You are going to be able to do some crazy shit much easier now. Less skinny pedal, more control crawl

 

Go full flat-belly: clock the t-case with a crawl box then replace the stock trans crossmember - you'll shave another 2" or so off the underside.

This would likely be my next big mod to take on.

 

What kind of crawl box you have planned? Marlin Crawler or other?

 

In Indiana, all you need to do is walk into the BMV with a title and they will hand you a plate and registration. Zero inspection, just like i like it. But, you should see some of the @#$% people drive around here. hahaha scary at times.

 

I already have an inchworm crawl box - I was referring to the flat-belly mod.
