So I removed and replace the filter before draining the erl?

 

Can confirm, I change my own oil, takes me at least two try’s to reset the light.

Remove oil pan bolt, remove filter, then place an oil pan under the truck.

 

So you drain THEN remove and replace the filter?

 

Make sure you go get a full body lamination done to yourself first, there will be some dirt/grease/oil that gets on you.





JK, it starts with the easy stuff and you move from there.

 

Just don't drain your transmission fluid!

 

I've got the fumoto on there. So hopefully I can find the right drain easily

 

Sounds good. Open valve then while it's draining pull the filter. You can use a small tube on the drain under the filter to catch the oil that runs out of the filter. Either way have something under there to catch the oil that comes out. You'll see the drain on the side around the filter.

 

I drain, then replace the filter while it completely drains, then go back, and this is important, remember to put the drain plug back in . BTW, do you have a replacement drain plug crush washer?

I use a large ziplock bag and wedge it under the filter drain and on top of the compressor, then put the filter in the bag to, throw away.
