Maybe a regional thing. Around here gardeners don't drive domestic. They all drive Frontiers/Tacomas.

It better be an F450 Limited for 93k. Otherwise he’s either talking out his ass, as they can easily be had for 10k off sticker

Interesting. Around here government (CAL TRANS) and lots of highway assistance and pest companies use Tacomas.

I must be mistaken then. Probably was a 450. I am not that familiar with them. It was maroon, dually. Fully loaded, 4 door, long bed. As far as if he got anything of sticker or not. No idea.

Yeah. He had a GT2, which is what the AMG-GT replaced. I love the lime green color of his GT3. Its gorgeous. Previous to the GT3, he used to race a 360Stradale.

Keep in mind that the Ranger will be advertised at 10k off so what you actually pay for the Ranger will probably be less feature set to feature set.

My farm truck, brand new 2018 Tacoma, cost me $22,000. We will keep it for 200k miles, till we replace it. Unless the Ranger is $16,000 we wouldn't ever consider a Ford. That said, features are irrelevant for that particular need.

Now the urban cowboys who spit shine their trucks all the time, they might care about the features list, and you are likely correct on that end.

Is an urban cowboy really going to consider a non-domestic truck brand? Seems like the Ford would be a forgone conclusion despite features, because 'Murica

My God...this also hits close to home. Since we only drive MT cars, we were on the verge of buying a lezabaru prior to test driving the GTI. The wife said she would have to trade in her flip flops for strapped Teva's and socks :)

116K for the first half of the year? possible 232K units sold for 2018?

I put together a ranking of Toyota's other top sellers for 2018 (doesn't look like any of the other websites provide such a list on a monthly basis... Just an annual ranking).

The Tacoma is a very important vehicle for Toyota. It's the 4th top selling vehicle, and it's outselling all of Toyota's SUVs except for the Rav4. It's also the only other vehicle that is number 1 in it's segment.

Why doesn't the Tacoma get the same attention to detail and care as the Highlander or the 4Runner? I think instead of putting out a half-assed Supra. Toyota should make a Halo-Tacoma (Turbo V6, rear disc brakes, Lexus-style interior, Fox shocks) to really add excitement back to the brand. Honestly, forget about bringing back the Supra or the MR2.

Raptors, Hellcats, Demons, Ram limiteds/Rebels and ZR1s are selling a lot better than the full-on sports cars and luxury sedans. People with cash want these suped-up mass market vehicles now. They don't want Supras or even corvettes.

When I was looking to by a truck in April I stopped first to look at a Canyon. The GM dealer is next to the Toyota dealer. Both are Lithia. When the salesman wanted to do the paperwork I told him I was heading over to the Toyota dealer to look at a Tacoma. He politely said I couldn't afford one. When I drove back thru the lot with my new Tacoma I waved to the group of salesman in front of the GM dealership .

My wife loves her Tevas or Chacos like Sandle thing. I think we may need to have a "talk" tonight, maybe that explains this...... :jerkoff:

Yes, I am kidding - our first Subie a 2008 Forester 2.5i MT, now 2011 Outback 2.5 Premium CVT has been a very solid car for her driving through all type of weather at all time of the day (she is a nurse). Subaru's are effing tanks in the snow. It has ~125k on it ans show no signs of slowing down.

These examples are contrary to your above desire. They're exactly the same as their mass produced counterparts, but with an upgraded engine. All those cars have the same cheap interior knobs and features as their base model counterparts. Add Ford's Shelby to that list.

A demon or zr1 even a Shelby gt500 or gt350 have a lot more upgrades than just a bigger better engine than their base model counter parts

I have been inside a Ford Raptor and I test drove a new Ram Limited 2019. Those Trucks have interiors that are on the same level as a BMW or Mercedes if not better. This is especially true in the Ram Limited 2019.
