yeah. But they are noisy AF just like everyone said they would be, but I got them anyway hoping I'd be the exception to the rule. And even with the AAL they start to sag after I add a couple hundred lbs to the bed (not including the RTT). And I'm still dealing with them binding up and popping on me when turning at speed...not anywhere near as bad as it was before but it's still there and I'm sick of crawling under the truck every day to check on the bolts/torque and to lubricate them to keep them quiet. My stock pack + 3 leaf AALs gave me no headaches at all aside from not being up to the task for holding weight.

And I should be able to sell the Dakars and come close to breaking even if the Expo's work out like I'm hoping they will.

So they might be a little on the stiff side.
"On unloaded Tacomas, they will result in a 1" taller stance than the stated lift height of 3". The stated lift height is maintained with loads of 400-500 lbs of cargo."

yeah I carry about 200lbs regularly with the bed rack and RTT, maybe a little more than that with the spare tire and tools. So they will be a little on the stiff side but it will be worth it to not be riding on bump stops when I go camping with ~700lbs weight

Haha, I've dumped a bike or two in the dirt. I want to get a WR450F next so it's less of a high deal to drop in the dirt.

I've got my eye on an EXC350. A good compromise of weight/power, and it's got a plate, too.

Hope so. I can always find more ways to put weight in the bed lol. Carry around some sandbags day-to-day if I have to.

Gonna do it right this time too and get greasable shackles for the rear and bolts for the front hangar. And don't worry @Sperrunner, I promise to get new u-bolts this time.

That's why I want a WR450F, it's platable and comes with a kickstand and push button start. Otherwise it is basically a dirt bike haha

As long as you don't get ball joint spacers, he's fine.

Maybe it's the gutless pig I ride ('03 DRZ-250), but I've never been into open desert stuff. I prefer the tight singletrack. 450s are just too big for me. A modern 450 is lighter than my pig, and a 250 has more power (modern 200 probably has more power, lol).

If I had the time or energy, I would work up some photoshop drawings. But I only have photoshop at work...

Hell, throw an MS paint sketch together, the crude/crappy drawing of a BJ spacer would be appropriate.

I spend roughly 70% of my waking life in front of Photoshop, if you can get me a general idea/sketch of what you're thinking I can put something together.

I've ridden a DRZ before, they're pretty damn fun. I'm trying to avoid carbureted bike from now on. I'm tired of matching carbs and cleaning all the time. Fuel Injection and 4 stroke for me from now on. It would be my only bike so 450 would be good to do street duty but for just dirt I could get by with a 250 too. I would just put supermoto tires on so I could do both easily. I sold my Harley so I'm bikeless at the moment
