265/75/16 Dura Tracs on stock steel rims & Suspension.

Hello,

I want to mount some 265/75/16 Dura Tracs on my stock steel rims to replace those whimpy 245/75/16. My truck is a 2.7L 4x4 Access Cab and
have searched but didn't see any old treads about this combo ? I don't have the money for wheels or suspension mods - so I really want to make
sure they will fit ok and not rub. If someone has a heads up and even pictures that would be a big help.

I'm considering the same tires on the same truck.

Also,what, if any, difference in MPG can one expect going to 265's?

 

The only problem you'll have is that your truck will look way cooler and you'll have traction and fewer flats off-road... oh wait...

Yeah, you're good. Those fit without any mods or rubbing.

These tires don't rub at all and they look great!
Since you got the 2.7 you are probably gonna lose some mpg but it is definitely worth it in my opinion.

 

skistoy has that size on his steel rims, painted black.

 

Here they are. This truck has the TSB rear and 5100 @ .85 but you get the idea. I have these tires too and they're awesome. They're actually changing my mind about Good Year tires.

Do it, it's worth every penny!!

Best all-terrain tire out there, in my opinion. It just looks sexy as hell!

 

Went out and bought some 265/75/16 Dura Tracs today. I'm very happy with the look. I can tell they suck up a little performance and they do
hum a little but does not bother me. They fit great no rubbing, not even
on my mud flaps. I took a quick picture. I'll take a few better later.

They'll work and look killer with the steelies painted black!

 

Keep the steelies silver and lose the tire shine. IMO.
