They're heavy, stiff, and grippy as a cartoon banana peel. They fine on dry asphalt (so is any tire) and great in snow (weird but true). They're shit in rain, pretty bad in gravel and loose dirt, pack up in mud. The fact that they last so long is a curse cause it's hard to justify getting rid of them.

Weird to hear considering they're probably the most popular AT in the world.. Not saying your wrong, just not the usual review. What load range were yours?

Unless you get one tiny size they offer they're all load E for us. I realize they're popular, I bought them because they were and I had friends with the first gen of them. I met my hero and it disappointed me. I think most folks see a popular name, a good looking design and say that'll fit my rugged lifestyle and buy them so they can use their Tacoma to go down a fireroad and dump their kayak in the water. They don't use them enough to form an opinion on real function. They last long and aren't loud so there's no reason to consider buying anything else as it works for their mundane activities. But they're bad for mpg, poor in rain, and downright below average in the dirt. Not to mention the markup on them is insane. I could buy 1.5 sets of better tires for the same price as a set of smaller KO2s.

Right now I'm on some 33" KM2s but when I go up to 35s I'll run Goodyear MT/Rs. The KM2s are soft and harder to peel out with than the KO2s despite having less tread touching the asphalt haha. I also went back down to 15" rims.

I had those on my Pathfinder back in the day, nothing wrong with those at all. Great value for price, but I'm past ever putting ATs on my truck again. Although the Yokohama G003 looks kinda interesting

Alternatives? Not looking for a MT. I considered the Revo 3's but their price is more than the BFGs.

Ive had no problem with firestone destination at. But then again i run a small tire and run primarily on the road. So they work for me.

When i go up in size im kinda like the General grabbers

Holy crap, I only spent $565 to completely replace everything including buying the gauges and pump. Only thing I reused were the lines. And you can pull all of the underdash components by removing the glove box.
