Gotcha. I would recommend some seat covers given the color of the material.

You are going to love it! I coated my CR-V today and I misted the wheels 2 mists each with the Hydro Blue. You can see the protection instantly, not to mention the amazing shine. Easiest wax job I ever have done. :) And I doubt I ever put wax or sealant on by hand ever again. Even if the Hydro Blue coating does not last 3+ months, you only use 2 to 3 sprays per panel so I can apply it every month or 2 and the 16oz. bottle will last me a couple years.

    Pay the pro.
They should be using a steamer which will not only clean but sanitize the seat.

I pay to have my interior carpets and air vebts steam cleaned every few years for this reason.

    $100 is a good deal.

Question for you experts out there. Took my truck through some decent thick brush this weekend and being a long bed took some pin stripes to the passenger side944B2AEE-3A96-4F1E-9137-355E1FD89076.jpgI don’t really have much time to try and get them out myself but from what you guys see, should a bar and wax be enough to get these out? Note: I know a clay bar won’t really do anything, but most places charge for both. none of the stripes went through the clear coat nor gauged the paint.

Just wanted to ask before I paid someone like $200 to go to town. Thanks in advance.

Probably need to machine polish those out.

Clay bar removes contamination embedded in the paint so you can safely polish without causing damage.
Wax is just a protective product that goes ontop of paint.

So neither one of those things does paint correction.

If I were you I would just buy a DA polisher and some products so you can do the detail yourself. You’ll piss away a lot of money if you are always wanting to go to a pro after every off road trip.

Rule of thumb is always if you can catch the scratches with your fingernail they cannot be polished out.

    Stupid question of the day.

Do you as a detailer put anything on powdercoated bumpers? I realize it doesn't need waxed like paint, but I was just wondering if I should be doing anything besides washing the bugs off?

Paint doesn’t need waxing. It needs protection but wax is not a requirement ;)
I never use it. Its too much work and lasts only a couple weeks.

Is it textured coated or smooth?

You could put a paint sealer on it (synthetic wax that is much better and lasts ten times longer than wax).

I just wouldn’t use a sealer on a textured coated surface.

A spray sealer probably would do you well. It would make your life easier getting those bugs off.

It's smooth and satin, not gloss.

    Thanks for the advice

Yeah I’d probably just coat it with the same sealer I used on the paint.
