    Thinking about plastidipping the chrome on the grill to match the matte black fender flairs. Here is a quick edit I did on my phone just to have an idea of what it might look like. The plastidip will almost be as dark as the matte on the bumpers. Thoughts?

    Oh, I know, but the scoop is easy enough to remove for painting or dipping. I'd like to replace that little plastic "grille" with a piece of perforated aluminum sheet painted black while I'm at it.

    There are actually 3 sources of glare off the hood. There's the edge of the "trough" in front of the windshield, the edge of the raised rectangular shape, then the back of the scoop. I've been taking note whenever I see a hood decal, and I've yet to see one that would cover those other 2 edges to minimize the glare. I'm having trouble even imagining one that would both look good and take care of the problem.

    Wouldn't be so bad if I didn't commute due east in the morning then due west in the afternoon.

    Have you looked at importequipment.com? There are a couple of decals on there that look like they would cut down on hood glare. Pretty reasonable pricing, as far as I can tell.

    Pro-Tip: If you're really going through a slew of past posts, use a note-keeping app and put a copy of anything you're interested in there. Really frustrating when you KNOW you saw something somewhere and try to find it again because you want more info. I've been using OneNote to copy-paste text and photos of mods I might want to do. OneNote automagically inserts a link back to where ever the material was copied from in case you want to go back and pick up the thread again. Wish I would have done this from the start.
