Keep it small. The 16g or 20g turbo for a DSM would do really well and will spool quickly yet once you want more power you can easily turn them up and they can support a decent amt of power.

Dont remember what size but it was a Borg Werner t3 .63 a/r, I've went through around 2 setups in my head.

 

Gadget from URD would be a good source too. T3s are really small you'll run that thing out quickly. The 16g is right around that size the 20g is a little bigger the nice thing is they run a smallish turbine so they spool quickly any of those turbos though don't get a huge intercooler if you do then they become really inefficient trying to first fill all the plumbing and intercooler. All that stuff needs to be sized appropriately for the size turbo which most people just think bigger is better.

 

T3 on a 3rz is about perfect, smaller intercooler is a must anyway with my winch and bumper

 

Go for bar and plate they are the most efficient. You could do dual mini intercoolers from a car that has them in the fender that way you can get more area and be more flexible in mounting. My old eclipse the stock one was located in the inner fender and there are companies that made upgraded ones. You could do something like that. I like the fact you are wanting to go turbo since it's something different
