x2 on the PB blaster. I just got done replacing the entire suspension on my friends '02 4runner and pre soaking with penetrating lube really helped. It was still a pain due to rear coil suspension but not too bad.

Its gonna rub quite a bit. Im running 255/85/16's (33's) on stock suspension at the moment with quite a bit of rubbing on the front mud flaps since I put them back on due to rock chips.

So I had a chance to install the 5-Pack and the rear Billies. I wrote down the measurements somewhere. I will post those later. Also did some other work, like painting my cap, and grill black. I brushed all the chrome down, so it looks like Brushed aluminum or whatever. So here it is....

Right now I love the ride quality, but the front end is still jumpy so I can't wait to work on that. I'm very happy with the setup.:D

hey everybody i need a quick favor. tell me if i'm crazy...if you got front billies, can you look and tell me if the bottom plate that the coil spring rests on is painted black or plain steel? i swear mine were steel but i could be wrong, whats on the truck now is a black plate. getting things fixed up this afternoon and i'm not sure if they messed something up with the plates too...maybe i'm just being paranoid again...

Okay, got the rear all done today. It took about 3 hours and all the bolts came out somewhat easily. see my build for pics.

I thought the same when I only removed one bolt. If you remove both bolts, it will allow the entire shackle plate to fall off. Then take a BFH and hammer out the bolts. If that doesn't work, move the axle up or down to relieve tension off the spring and bolt.

Nice job! Lookin' good steve o. I can't wait to get to mine. I am so fed up with the ride quality and lack of control. The OMEs (and new hanger bolts) are on the way, and my torque wrench is out being calibrated...

Question: were you able to bust off all the bolts using only PB Blaster and a breaker bar, or did you have use an impact wrench? My truck is pretty clean/rust free underneath (a lot like yours), and I am debating whether to go buy an electric impact wrench and sockets. I have been bleeding money lately....

I think my bleeding has stopped for the moment. I finished the rear leafs and billies yesterday and the front OME 880's and billies in the front today. A much better ride to say the least. I'll post a few pics later. I'm done for the day.

I had my issues with seized bolts in the rear end but the front end was easy as pie. WD-40 and a breaker bar was all it took to remove the struts. I went through a few sawzall blades on the front hanger pins and had to order new shackles in the middle of it all. But today the taco is happy and high(er). These forums and this thread in particular made the whole process pretty damn easy - thanks everyone!
