Northern Virginia Roll Call

I try to drive out to West VA at least once a week or so if I can just to stay sane. I'm currently looking for a printed copy of state fire roads and stuff to buy, because there is almost never cell service out there.

 

Damnit man.. I hope everyone is good with no damage.. I'm high and dry being up mountain road, but that's some serious flooding.

 

Would anyone like a digital copy of the matrix? I bought the 4k version and no need for the digital copy, I don't do the digital downloads.

I had a printed copy of george washington national forest, but lent it to someone, and now its lost

 

Thats unfortunate. I may try to just pop in the ranger station next time im out there and see if they have any for sale there doesnt appear to be one on the USDA site.

Thats not a bad idea either also i could just use works printer ink and print off a bible of fire roads haha. I also need to start doing these trips with at least one other person, i feel like when im all by myself i miss roads and stuff to check out.

 

Gaia GPS has a layer for MVUM that covers the GWNF.

 

How much rain did they get out at rapidan? Last time I was there they had just repaired the completely washed out road. It may be fubared again.

 

I have a book of fire roads in national forest. I'll try to remember to check and see where I downloaded it from. I think it was put out by the forest service

 

I have no idea but with the amount of rain fall all over the mid Atlantic, I think you are right, and doubt we will find perfect conditions anywhere
