It was not fun, but it went ok. It will be water tight with all the ultra gray I used.

What is the weight of your Tradesman?

 

Sorry, I’m not sure but it is lighter than the equivalent fiberglass topper and will last longer

 

I asked Maria at access manufacturing and she said about 200 lbs, so to be fair with add ons I’d say 2-250.

 

Yeah that sounds about right

 

My truck is stock in the suspension dept. and I will say it rides way better with the extra weight of my cap.

 

I'm waiting to see how mine is loaded with my drawer/platform before I decide to remove my AAL. My current suspension is from when I had my FWC and is raked forward too much.

 

You’re going to remove your AAL? I’m about to add a leaf to my Dakars in anticipation of getting the @Pelfreybilt dual swing out rear bumper.

 

Most likely. We'll see how the truck sits with the semi-permanent load in the back. The FWC was heavy even though it was a shell model.

I seriously did a double take on this because I was just there... then I realized that I didn't have my truck there and that I don't have an access cab

Nice! Getting ready to put a top rack on but was wondering how it would fit with the big ass vent. Glad to see it doesn't look so bulgy but still might look at getting a lower profile one so I can use the full rack more easily.

@Toynado - I'm planning on ordering up a batwing here shortly as well. Have you seen those mounted up on a Tacoma? I'm worried about how long it is.

It seems the race is on. I have mine on order, would love to get it by the weekend.
I should also have my caliraised sliders. So this weekend could be magical!
Took the gamble on the sliders as I needed something before archery season and every other slider is 12 weeks out. I’ll post up a review after install.

 

Whose batwing did you go with? The Caliraised sliders look really solid. I really like how they ribbed the mounting flanges at the tubing junction. It makes a lot of sense. I'm torn between those and the BAMF ones since I can do local pickup on BAMF. But yea... 12 weeks...

 

I went with the Rhino rack, my buddy got me a deal I couldn’t pass on.

 

I just called Tradesman to get a brochure since I was getting a tad confused from their website. delightful young lady was very helpful. by-the-by, shipping to the east coast was $1,500. G U L P ! ! !

I was too embrassed (sic) to tell her that would not be a value to me.
