I neeeds this.. mainly for more torque and hill climbs. The ol 4 banger doesnt make enough down low to climb

Will be lurking for possible moab plans

Looks good. My only recommendation is to extend that black to the area below the door sills so that white doesn't show through. Otherwise, daddy likey!

 

Great idea! I will eventually be painting the pinch weld like @ChadsPride did and will add that part to the list

 

Today was productive until i started sweating my ass off... i got the air filter replaced, in cabin air filter replaced, new windshield wipers, new sun screen added, and checked out the skids underneath. The drivers side transmission skid's bolts were loose enough to hand tighten so I went around the 2 skids remaining and tightened everything up.

The cross member that supports the back of the xfer case skid slightly bent the frame where it was bolted to it... luckily its something some hammer therapy can fix.

While I was down there, I noticed a flat spot in the exhaust just under the transfer case. This has to be from the bashing the xfer case skid has endured. This is a low point under the truck clearance wise and has me looking for exhaust shops to run a reroute. When I order a new xfer case skid from RCI, I can get the exhaust reroute model giving me 2" more clearance than with stock exhaust routing which should help a bunch in the future if I happen to run into the same scenario again (i.e. down Penthouse at HF and that first obstacle).

Why Toyota ran the exhaust where it did under the xfer case is beyond me...

Time to find an exhaust shop local to me.

 

Well, that was quick! I called Muffin Muffler and have an appointment with them to perform the exhaust reroute Monday morning at 9am! WOOT!

Now to call RCI and see if they will hook a brother up with a new xfer case skid!

im glad to have BP back! I can finally tackle some more projects! Next up will be pulling the overhead console down and modifying it to fit the 3d printed pieces i got to hold switches for the lockers and the compressor. The wiring for this must be run from there, along the headliner, down the A pillar on the drivers side, and finally into the engine bay where it can connect with the compressor. Last thing before the gears and lockers go in will be to run the air lines from the compressor in the engine bay to the places where the lockers will be
