OEM Tonneau Cover

Anyone selling their OEM tonneau cover?

 

I wish. I cant find anyone in my area.

 

These things are becoming harder to find than I can believe. I've missed out on 3 of these fuckers now

Any specific reason you want the OEM?

The Extang Solidfold 2.0 is pretty similar to the OEM cover. My dad has the Solidfold 2.0 in his 2nd gen and I have the OEM in my 3rd Gen. Other that the lock mechanism, they are pretty much the same to my eyes. Both are 3 panels that fold. The 3rd panel (closest to the cabin) doesnt lift. So if you what to load something big you would need to completely remove the cover off from the truck, which is a PITA if your doing it by yourself because of how heavy it is. Ive done it two times already. Not fun.

If I vever decided to replace the OEM, I would consided a BAKflip G2 or Roll-N-Lock. Wouldnt bother trying to find the OEM.

 

I had a dealer snafu so mine didn't arrive with OEM tonneau. Picked up the Bakflip F1 during the last group buy and it's great. Slight leaking but that's to be expected. It's light, flush, and I like how it can flip up that last panel for extra clearance.

 

I really don't have a point of view, OEM or No. I was trying to tap into exactly the kind of information in the quote above. I tend to like OEM stuff as it fits well in most cases. But if there is a better mousetrap I'd like to know what it is and why. It's $650 for Yota's, and it looks like a Backflip is more like $900. Often avoid dealer options because I can usually obtain better products for less money than the manufacturer. $650 versus $900 wouldn't appear to be the case. But...if I can't open the last flap on a bed that is only 5 foot long, that is gonna make me nuts. So thank you!!! The Lux cover looks nice, but my dad had one on a Ranger and I thought it was a pain anytime you went to load something tall.

 

I have a OEM long bed cover that I'd be willing to ship. Was asking $450 but pm me and see what might work for both of us. Ordered a camper shell that we pick up next week.

 

I didn't get the factory one & went with the Extang Solidfold 2.0 also. The OEM can be popped open with a coat hanger quite easily like some of the aftermarket trifolds & I wanted security so I got the one I did.
