Stock Air Box Mod?

Not sure how many times we need to go down this road... The intake is not a bottleneck for these engines. Do what you want (it's your money), but understand all you'll get out of this is a different sound under the hood; there are no HP/torque gains to be found changing or modifying the intake on these trucks. How much for your snake oil? Your product much like the tornado does nothing. I heard if you put a bigger fuel line from the pump to the injectors that you could get 1000 extra hp. How do you live with yourself taking advantage of people?

I’m not pushing any snake oil on anyone, if you read this thread from the beginning you’ll see that I was asked by the people to put something together for the people. I did so and there were mixed opinions and results.
I’ve been doing mods for vehicles for a long time plus I’ve been involved with social media forums for even longer and one thing you’re always guaranteed to hear from are the forum heros. You pretty much hear the same thing every time.

 

Don't let it bother you everyone has their opinion especially about this subject. We appreciate you taking the time to put this together for us and are still waiting on the intake tube.

 

I have heard replacing the factory part with this Toyota part does the same thing. Air accelorator.

 

If you were truly an honest guy you would state that your product is merely a novelty and is purely cosmetic.

What is the difference in diameter from the stock part?

 

From what i read .. Its the same diameter but the stock one pulls most of the air from the engine bay where this piece pulls from the wheelwell. I read remove cover, remove filter, 4bolts replace the piece with this piece and put back together.

 

The stock setup pulls cooler air from the fender well.

 

This part is from the trd pro cai.

Looks to be the same ID. I see the stock fenderwell piece has a water guard but the aftermarket has a belled end.
