I've used them a couple times so far and they seem pretty useful. Some bugs but it's up to you if those bugs are ones you don't like. Like someone else mentioned I've had them turn off at a T instersection which I thought would be useful for any cars that may drive by when the sensor can't face those directions. Also had a reflector turn them off once by hitting the sensor just right. I personally think they turn off at a good distance not to blind people but I probably won't use it in all situations. Also I've turned it off to intentionally blind people for being dumb.

I used it on some sections of I-84 late at night. It was late and not much traffic but lots of curves and it kept kicking the high beams off and on. After I had two cars thinking I was flashing my high beams at them I decided to turn off the auto. I will try it another time when I'm on a two lane highway to see if it works a bit better.

Has anyone looked at the wiring diagram for the auto high beam switch? I am wondering if it would be possible to tie in a light bar but still retain the functionality of a switch if auto high beam is disabled. Kinda like the the stock high beams. I can turn them on and off with a switch or let the truck auto magically turn them on and off.

Works pretty good but needs improvement.

One thing I noticed was on a four lane road while passing semi-trucks it would flip back to high beam when I was nearing the cab of the semi while passing. Probably pissed off a few truckers.
It's good but has a couple of kinks to work out.

Or ask for directions. Better to be lost as my wife says of my behavior.

    Of course it is!

You could be lost and end up in a very attractive woman’s house

First I will say I am spoiled by this option on my wife’s Mercedes-Benz, the headlight system is second to none.
So I was excited to get this feature on my 2019 standard. Iowa flat roads, rural and good weather it worked as expected maybe 75% of the time in till I got tired of saying it should be turning off by now and getting flashed by oncoming drivers.
Solution drive in auto high beam, but operate like manual, if it dims before me great!

    Ditto.
I was hopeful about this feature, but it often takes too long to go to LB or switches back to HB when it shouldn’t. Hoping that this will be addressed in a future TSB...possible?

Think they made the auto high beam option for women. My ex drove with her high beams on in her corolla and was wondering why every one was flashing there lights at her lol .

I use it, I do find it quirky at times like reflective signs or parked cars cause them to go off. But for the most part I find them useful. They do what they're intended to do.

    See my build page!
I've used it, but to be honest, whatever algorithm it uses to determine to switch them on/off seems a bit off. Sometimes it won't turn them off in time, sometimes it turns them off for a street light. Sometimes it won't turn them on because it "sees" tail lights 5 miles ahead. I find that they wok best when on a dark highway with little traffic.

I love the feature, works great most of the time. I did adjust the sensitivity a bit however.
