We don't currently have one on the books but it's always nice when members step up and put stuff together!

Mine has been set at 78 during the day from 6AM -11PM and goes down to 75 after 11PM. The issue is I have one unit for our house that is too small and which is 2 stories and the thermostat is upstairs so it has to run a lot harder before it reads as cool I feel like. I plan on replacing the unit soon with one for each floor.

 

Way ahead of you on that one. I plan to do it not only for flood but so the grass/weeds and ants don't have a chance at it either. I treat the yard for all that so that's usually not a problem but a little preventative thinking goes a long way.

Every time that place comes up... the general consensus has been eff that place...

 

It's about 5 miles from my house. I've been by it but never gone in. My understanding from local friends is that it is mostly a mud park for large (38"+) tire vehicles and atv's. I see trailers full of side by's go out that way every friday evening. If you want to check it out, come up and we'll go have a go see. Maybe bring the ATV with ya just in case.

 

You're a good spotter and didn't make fun of me on the skinny legs. I would follow you.

 

Extreme? Yeah mainly mud out there. Not the place for a fully armored battle tank such as myself.

G-Sam's used to have a sister park on the back side called Texas Off-Road Ranch. That place was pretty cool for a day trip, had rocks, sand, mud, hill climbs and a drive in the creek trail with some nice shady areas for cookouts. County shut that down by telling them they couldn't use their Timber exemptions if they continued running the park for profit.
