like 75% of Californians - prerunner. If I had to do it all over again, would I have bought the 4WD tacoma? ABSOLUTELY. Am I content with my tacoma? Yes. Do I keep my eye out for a Cali 02-04 white DC 4WD, Limited, 1 owner? EVERY DAMN DAY. lol

Well, I do have that locker (TRD option ) but that more than likely wouldn't save me. Maxtrax on the list next time ebay does one of their coupons. You should have some as well just in case. As for Tyler, he just might get stuck first :boink:

From what I've seen, by in large the "overlander" crowd (the ones who watch a couple Expedition Overland videos, and go out and buy a brand new TRD Pro, then slap another $20k+ in 'overlander' gear on it) are the ones who seem to need the most "help" when it comes to driver skills.

You know - 3rd gen guys...

question should be: how often/likely will you use the fridge and can you continue to live without it?

Continue to live with out it yes, I barely go offroad maybe twice a month at most.

Would use it at work maybe 3 times a week, now I use a lunch box with ice packs. Not needing ice packs would be nice and being able to easily bring my lunch would be a plus

I dunno about you, but going offroad twice a month is fairly often. That's a lot more than I have been going lately.

That's a big fridge for just your lunch, lol... How do you plan to power the fridge while you're at work? I know they don't drain all that much power, but I'd hate for it to drain your battery and not be able to start it. Then you'll have warm food and a truck that doesn't start.

That said, fridges only really start showing their colors when you're out for multiple days. A lot more bang for your buck with a cooler and some re-usable ice packs (frozen water bottles) if you're only out for the day or a night or two.

    So just out of curiosity,

What does everyone here consider “off-roading”

Well I hope I never go off-roading then.

You and @Jamesboy2233 can keep that to yourselves.

It wasn't even that muddy really, mostly just water so it wasn't bad to clean. Truck wasn't even really "stuck" it just died when I went in and I wasn't gonna try to start it sitting like that. It wasn't bad to clean up really. But yeah mud sucks

Hmm, that's a tough one. We need to try and set some boundaries, but not sound elitist...

If it's not asphalt, then I've taken my 20' travel trailer "off-roading"... My driveway would be considered off-road... lol

But if the Corolla can make it, it's probably not off-roading, either.

Maybe it's more about the purpose of the trip, than the terrain you're on.

I kinda see it as if it's somewhere you couldn't get in a car then it's probably off-roading. I don't see gravel or fire roads as off-roading really, still fun and a good use of your truck, but not really off-roading. Now for the LT guys, yeah sure even if you could drive a car slowly through there, bombing through the desert I would count as off-roading obviously
