OME 881 front springs, Wheeler's 5-leafs on the back and Billy 5100s all the way around. I want to do it this weekend but if my coworker doesn't produce the spring compressor I'm gonna be pissed.

Go get a loaner spring compressor from autozone. $50 deposit and you get it all back upon the tools return. I've used them several times and they work perfectly if used properly. PM me if you have any questions. I'd be glad to help.

Only if it's the good hydraulic kind. I don't like the all-thread jobs. I've seen them come apart before.

They're the thread ones. I've used them several times. If used properly, they're safe. If used improperly, they're time bombs.

You could always run them over to a shop and have them done real quick. I think it's usually about $40 or so.

True, but I have been accused of being retarded on many occasions.

Well then if your friend fails, have a shop do the hard part. That part is half the job time anyway and they'll do it in minutes with a wall mounted compressor.

BTW, Blair, before you tear it apart, make a note of the positioning of the top mounting bolts, the bottom of the coil's "tail", and the lower shock eye in relation to each other and the truck itself. It will ease reassembly.

Speaking of butt-puckering, check these out!

From Monday at a local park, I almst flipped it. I stopped as it was teetering. These are some of the action shots. As soon as I stopped it, they of course had to take more pics before I could recover it.

Pictures never do the trail justice. It certainly looks rough but not rough enough to kick you over that far. Your rear tire looks to be almost off the rock that's causing the problems. Did you just drive through it to recover or did you have to back up? We'll get you into as much of that stuff as you wish here.

I let off, and it rolled back to recover. Was gonna just push on, but thought I would play it safe this time. That rock on my back tire was giving me some problems. I didn't think I was gonna hit these trails so I didn't air down. The back had 35 psi, and wouldnt climb. I ended up bouncing over, and this is what happened.

I am all about this kind of stuff. This was my first real test in the rocks, and climbing. Still waiting on my sliders, hopefully they get here soon.

Did you disconnect your sway bar? That makes a huge difference.

No, but I'll have to give that a try next time. I probably won't do anything else until we hit NM. I need to figure out what is going on in my engine.

Yeah, definitely figure out what's going on with your engine before a road trip like this.

I updated post #1 with a more specific agenda for the trip. I've changed what I mentioned the other day a little. Check it out.

I'm pretty sure it's just a pully. I drove through some sandy water on MOnday, and think that some of the sand got into the pully bearings, at least that is what is sounds like. I'm gonna start at the bottom, and work my way up the pullys.

Hey, Dom, are you only coming to Farmington or are you doing the whole trip? I know you're worried about your clutch but I'll tell you, CO won't be as hard on your truck as Farmington. Hope to see you on the whole thing!

Hey guys, just checking in again. What kinds of things should we bring? Anyone bringing a grill? If so, I can bring some burgers for one of the nights. I can get those and steaks, cheap to free. Got the sliders in today, so I should be a little for prepared for the trip.

Sorry guys, I hate to do this. I cannot make it to this meet. I just got off the phone with a buddy, he was planning a wedding to have at the end of summer (I was thinking in August), he told me they will be getting married next month on July 10th.

I really wanted to see other TW members and their rigs. Next time...
