Do I really need the cap anyway?

 

Got one of those too.

 

Finished installing my dash cam. Put the rear camera in.

 

Washed my various straps of all the mud from the previous trip, and let them dry and rewound them. Ready to go for next time!

Red=tree saver
Orange=snatch strap
Purple=winch extension

 

Added the a/c and heat knobs and threw on a shorty antenna.

I don’t see why. My truck didn’t come with one either, but it’s a 2012. I don’t think the cap does anything. I think the main problem with the secondary air system is moisture that makes the valves seize. No filter or cap will help that. I wish Toyota never put this system on our trucks. It is good for nothing.

I finally have a reason to post in this thread.
I just picked up my truck from the body shop where I had Bullhide bedliner applied on the rocker panels from below the door sills to the crease below the Tacoma badge. It goes from behind the front tire to the back bumper.

They started Monday afternoon and finished it Thursday morning. It looks really good to me. The lines are straight and the edges are sharp.

I wanted to have a dent fixed but didn’t want to have it just painted again because I wanted something tougher than paint that would resist scratches and scuffs.

The body shop warranties it for lifetime and they told me they haven’t had any cone back from peeling off the sides.

I’m happy with how it turned out.

 

Did 4 years at Ft Sill in the late '70's

 

New lights, new roof rack and silver plugs for my fenders untill I get the flares and front bumper repainted

 

Finally a much needed wash and detail!

 

Been busy w/ flood cleanup ( re doing brick walkways) & side jobs haven't had time to do a much needed cleanup! Damnt maybe I can squeeze one in @ work nxt few days....
