Not until the 08's come out. Then they will add the TSB to the 07's. It is my understanding that the 08's will have this issue fixed already.

Why would they wait till the 08's come out if it is an issue with the 07's? can anyone shed some somewhat logical light on the subject?

I think that this has already been corrected on the Canadian Tacomas. I have a 2007 SR5 with bilstien shocks all around and different leafs in the back. I realized they were different leafs when I tried to install the ToyTec add-a-leaf kit to the back and had to trim 1/4" off of the leaf spring.

How's that possible? The TSB came out about 3 weeks ago.

This is not the same TSB that just adds pads between your existing springs.

Yeah, the Canadian Tacomas have different springs. This TSB is just for the US.

I jumped over to TN to check out that thread and read through all the pages and couldn't find anything that addressed my question. The TSB adds a leaf to the back to address the bottoming out problem.

My first question: if you have the toytec lift with an "aal" isn't that the same thing, or is there a benefit to getting the TSB from toyota (keep in mind i have the TRD so the only thing they would be replacing is my leafs) either way you're getting an extra leaf in the back right? So in my situation, toytec lift = TSB equivilent?

Second question: Can you use the Toytec lift ontop of the TSB install. Say i go get another leaf added to my rear, can i still use all the parts with the lift?

All these questions are moot at this point since i drive an 07 but i want to know for when they extend the TSB to my truck.

If anyone knows the answer i'd appreciate it

Do they replace a leaf spring with a tighter one or do they just add an extra leaf spring?

Also, all of the Canadian Tacomas come from California. Does anyone know why we already have this problem fixed for the 2007s and the US 2007 Tacomas dont?

The one where they put pads in between the leafs and add a shit load of grease or if its too bad they will replace a leaf, yeah I got that done 10,000 miles ago, I just complained a lot to Toyota.

Sorry guys I was talking about the first one that came out. That one looks a lot better, I would like to get that one installed, but I'm already over 40,000 miles.

I think they bottom out to easy. Either that, or the whole squeaky spring issue that many Tacomas had.

I called my dealer a few days ago about this. According to Toyota my truck came with the new upgraded leaf springs. It has a build date of June 27th 2007.

Truck is an 07 prerunner xtra cab.

I too have a '07 PreRunner AC and the local Toyota Service Manager told me the exact same thing when I took this TSB in and asked him about my truck last week. The really "funny" thing about this TSB is the new leaf packs are 4 leaves and the 2007's still have the 3 leaves no matter what they say about the 2007's already being upgraded.

you can check taht claim by getting under it and seeing how many leafs you have on each side. you should have a total of 4 if the uprade was done

Unfortunately it does not matter at this point if our 2007's only have 3 leaves (which mine only has) or the new upgraded 4 leaves, because this TSB only applies to the 2005-2006's at the moment.

yeah i know, that sucks considering they use the same parts for all three years. Panama, you work for toyota, maybe you can explain why they released a tsb for 05 and06 but not the 07's. Also, do you have an answer to my earlier question in this tread about the aal's that come with the toytec lift? you seem to be my new "go to" guy, haha, sorry to bother you so much but any answers would be appreciated.
