If you need more places for switches this guy makes nice mounts. I have both ash tray and single din radio mounts.

Don't forget you can wire lights up to the stock fog light switch on the stalk. Easiest wiring I've done yet. Relay and harness is already there, just solder new plugs on. It's a very convenient switch to get to also while driving.

I've got my Rigid spotlights wired up to the fog light switch. Makes it really easy to use them as high beams since our stock high beams suck.

Idk my headlights are pretty good...hid retrofits. I lost one on the drive across and it was still brighter than Factory.
Turns out it was a ballast and trs sent me a new one under warranty. All fixed up.

Yeah the output of retrofits is awesome. I'm still not sold on the reliability though. I had a lot of issues with bad ballasts and ignitors on a set of retrofits I did 5 years or so ago. Their warranty is good, but I hate replacing stuff that shouldn't need replacing.

SRQ Fabrications and I are building a 4600 car together. Bought a 1999 4Runner today. Thing is nicer than my truck.

If we get that far, yes . Now I have to fix the mangled front end because it was rear ended into a Jeep with a 35” spare. Build a long travel kit from scratch. Gusset things. Engine cage. Roll cage. Move gas tank to fuel cell. 4-link the rear. And many more. Alllll solo

I feel like they are all salvage title these days. Over 30 years on the road and wheeled, can’t blame it.

Sweet!!! In for the truck on jack stands pics!

Haha right, that thing is sweet!

We got a clean title for way less than that ad listed. It’s a little rough but it’s another trail rig so looks don’t matter. Beat not babied for sure. The new runner however will be babied for a while.

Yup, I really want the 3.0 & 5 speed as I plan on 3.4 swapping a 1st gen at some point in my life.

Since I’m not super close to trails I want one that isn’t beat so I could drive it around town comfortably with the kids and take on the trail when I get the chance. Exterior isn’t major but the interior needs to be clean.

@RPS1030 doesn’t care much how it looks, but I’ve got some plans to get the runner looking a little cleaner. Raptor liner is the biggest project. Gonna work on some interior projects as well. He already did the backseat delete.

He buys parts and they get shipped to my house. I build the truck and he flys out occasionally. But he’s driving in KOH and I’m co-driving.

    Also, we’re building a 4 seater

Sounds like a good time! Free parts and race truck.
