Yeah that's the one I saw. Not surprised, seemed like it was well priced and people that know 4runners won't shy away from 110k miles.

I love Rogan's podcast. I used to follow the UFC and I started hunting a few years ago so I like to catch those when I can.

 

I've only heard the Goggins one, but it's on my que to start listening.

If you haven't heard that one it's definitely worth a listen. Guy has giant balls of steel

 

I want to switch to contacts asap. my glasses don't really bother me in terms of wearing them but I don't like being limited to one pair of sunglasses. Also contacts have less of a tendency to fog up lol.

 

I was told that since I need my glasses for reading I cant do lasik. Something about my eyes constantly changing. That was a few years ago though

 

I couldn't stand wearing glasses. I didn't start til I was 18, so it was so hard to get used to them and I just didn't wear them because of it. Been doing contacts for 10 years now and they work so much better IMO for my needs.

 

Absolutely not. Talked to a friend about it the other day - some guy did a 26.2 mile barbed wire crawl??

After my first sprint, I decided to sign up for the trifecta this year. I'm hooked. Planning triple trifecta next year

Lasik was easily the best decision I've ever made

 

Just curious.. My wife and a few people I know have done it and rave about it.

I have Ted Williams eye sight so i wouldn’t know.

Ya your eyesight has to basically not change for a few years. If it stays stable you can get it. I don't think distance plays into it.

 

What heat are you signed up for the Super?

Are you doing the Beast at Killington this year too? I would love to do that but have a wedding that weekend that my wife is in, so I have to be present for the full weekend of activities I am told.

 

When you get older, your eyes aren't able to change focus as easily anymore. That's why after Lasik, people still need reading glasses. That could be what the doc said?

Jealous of Killington. I ended up singing up for age group on the Super. Based on other start times this year I am looking at a 8:45AM start.

 

Same, actually. First set of glasses I got a 17/18 had transition lenses...ended up hating them and only wearing them to drive at night. I got a new pair without transitions at like 20yo or so and have been wearing them everyday round the clock ever since.

 

Definitely worth it just for the better peripherals, I think.

I wore glasses for years, but switched to contacts when I started riding motorcycles again. The added periphery was a must, and as an added bonus it meant not having to deal with taking my glasses off, putting my helmet on, opening the face mask, putting my glasses back on, closing the facemask, etc. Just pop the helmet on and go.

 

Only thing that sucks with them is when they occasionally roll back and then you have to go on the hunt for them. But, that doesn't happen very often for me.

 

I'm running with a buddy and I guess your age group doesn't count/matter if you don't start at your designated time? I don't remember, but since we're running together, he's starting with me

I was in Cancun one year and lost a contact lens. Didn't have any backups. I was distraught. Then I started talking to this really cute girl, who I apparently talked to the day before. Turns out she had the same prescription as me. I proposed to her and then never talked to her again
