We get the hours at the End of each pay period for vac and sick time. Vac time has a Max of 336 , sick no max. We also earn comp time when they don't want to pay us and owed holidays if we are scheduled to work. They do not give me shit about sick time useage cause well It is the one time they know I will use my status 90%DAV with the federal FMLA paperwork on file. They challenged me once on it about 8 yrs ago. One phone call to the ADA compliance person fixed that shit quick even got an appology lol grudgingly of course. All that comes with the price of shit pay 43k a year for dealing with the worst of society. So it is a trade off.

    I
Think it is look it up Pembroke. Just a out house cover already on a slab wants to be able to lift it off with the tractor for maintenance or repair if need be. That I think is the big job the rest is maintenance on trailers , tractor , small gennerator , fire road maintenance etc etc etc .

Good benefits and retirement is what keeps us here in these jobs. My last knee surgery in 2010, over 26K I paid my $25 copay.

I like my job mostly. Get to meet a whole lotta people doing all sorts of different stuff. Got a couple customers that are pitas, however I’m allowed to tell em to pound sand as long as I do politely.

Enjoy your vacation and go safe Cypher!! I bet your dad appreciates your time and help. I used to make the run up to the Adirondacks every year to help out my parents with projects around the place up until 5 yrs ago. Now it’s just my mom and she’s 5 miles away from me.

I earn 208hrs of annual leave a year witch will increase in two years, plus we get most holidays off with pay and Hot pay if you work them. We also get another 32 hrs for three floating holidays and a Personel day witch has to be used up each year or you lose them. My annual leave keeps building from year to year, but in the end you can only cash in 700hrs. I have hundreds Of hours saved, and just came off a three week break, and fixing to take four weeks off. Our wages are similar and I love my total benefit package  will the pup be making the trip?

@scottalot sorry to about your job situation Scott, hopefully you can find something quick bud.

I have a lot of respect for you and what you do. My brother retired 2 years ago from the federal prison system. He called it the shit of society.
Enjoy our time off and the time you spend with your dad. Make sure you take lots of breaks and have a beer with your dad, or even lemon aid.

Good morning folks. Slept in now my back hurts.

Drinking coffee, figuring out all I need to do and the order I want to do it. Right now I just want to sit here.

We're truly fortunate my medical insurance is so good where I work, the mildly sub-standard pay make it well worth it!

My HRA from last year rolled over to this year, so we were only short <$100 for our co-pay for the year, as long as it's in network.

Fortunately (very fortunately) drugs are covered 100%, a round of chemo drugs runs right at $15K!
