Couple years ago. I was running it for a little bit. But I did a shit paint job on it, so I took it off and stripped it, but never repainted it. Now I'm going to have to pay for it to be sandblasted and powder coated.

I've got a little experience with GoPro. I've got the GoPro Hero 6 and while the video quality is the same as the Hero 5 the automatic vibration/shake control is far superior. I will say that the weakest part of any GoPro is always going to be the audio quality. I ended up grabbing the GoPro audio adapter (https://amzn.to/2OlK8X6) , which is the only adapter that will work (go figure), and run this mic ( https://amzn.to/2K1Sdwu ) with a 90 degree attachment ( https://amzn.to/2mOlJwU ) and a mic cover ( https://amzn.to/2LQbZgf ) and it made a world of difference.

 

You should be fine man especially with a heavy pack.

Lol it's actually a perfect setup to take advantage of the compact size of the GoPro … which is really the only thing GoPro has over the competition besides maybe durability.

 

I was gonna say, if you ordered it a few years ago you should be getting it next week.
