I’ve thought about accidentally opening the tailgate with the rack on. Fingers crossed I don’t have a brain fart and do that. Love this rack so far!

My 10 yr old son opened mine with the second rack on it (it was folded) so I now have a minor ding in the middle of the tailgate.

Looks great and I'll bet it sounds great too!!

I've been watching Alpine's big screens for a couple years, just wish they'd finally give us the wireless Android option like Kenwood is doing.

Are you using an iDatalink Meastro to interface with the vehicle info?

Installed yellow LED fog light bulbs. Pretty neat look from an appearance perspective, but at night the yellow reflection bothered my eyes. It caused everything to look dim. I reinstalled the stock halogen bulbs and noticed they did a much better job of lighting up the roadway and surroundings.

My bad...seen a couple posts on some forums he’s on regularly by you and just assumed you would know who Jerry is like everyone else. My bad! Victory4x4 is a huge YouTuber and posts a lot of videos. He’s also on here as well. Since you made a comment on a conversation that was going on I guess I would have assumed as well that you would know exactly what I am talking about. First comment was regarding the cringe and first part of the conversation you inserted yourself into and the second was referring to your carnival comment. You did make that connection right? The last part of the comment again was part of the conversation you inserted into as well. Sorry you weren’t able to make all the connections with my response and for assuming. One shouldn’t assume. I hope this makes a little more sense now. Anyways, enough talk about this.

Finally bought a TRD Pro faux grille. Couldn't be happier it's definitely a quality product, and I actually work in plastic molding so I inspected it to our standards. No signs washing from the mold, the gates are large enough where the plastic isn't coming in restricted so it definitely wasn't a short shot. Did have some sink lines and flash but it was all on the back side where its not visible and the flash can be trimmed so no biggie. I painted the lettering using Rustoleum satin black paint & primer for a base coat, then used Rustoleum camo tan and finished with an enamel clear coat. Used the double sided adhesive provided and used JB weld for added security. lol
Does have a slight gap up top but its not that noticeable I wasn't expecting flawless so I can live with it.
I would post the link where I bought it but the seller top_living on ebay took it down. Purchased for $108 plus tax and free shipping.

Yeah... I love the look of these new "floating" units... stealing from just about every high end car out today.

so you retained ALL the steering wheel functionality?

and my question is… what happens with the center cluster display? I actually like how the nav also shows up there with directional guidance when you are using it, etc. is that thing pretty much off now, as I think it runs off the Toyota HU?

I've been waiting to get one but when I first got my truck I decided to use truck bed liner spray and actually liked the look of it so I just kept it. Over the past year it got chipped up from rock chips so this morning I took it off and resprayed it.

You could always get an 18 grille with SR Bezel if you just want to set and forget. I see so many people claiming they plastidip theirs and they hold up forever. I just know that won't be the case. Bedliner is some strong stuff, if that comes off, anything will. Looks like you did a really good job applying.

Yeah, if I'm going to buy anything though, I'll pick up a knock off pro grill, they are floating around all over the internet nowadays

Just took some 220 grit sand paper and scuffed it up again to give it some texture.

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
    Very nice.

Wish I would have gone the aftermarket route on my last truck after FIRST front rotor replacement.

I've got at question... I'm I the only one that thinks that stock brakes have a vague "feel" back at the pedal? I'm not towing or hauling heavy loads, so I can't gripe about the stopping power. I just don't get very good feedback from the brakes.
