Yea the idea is the bump stop to hit the frame prior to your shock violently compressing completely. It will for sure cause internal damage if not blow the seals.

Speaking of which... I didn't take my military discount for my sliders or my bumper. Joe's a shark!

Yes exactly! Bump stops mount on the axle and come in contact with the frame. Their purpose is two fold. It’s to protect the shocks from bottoming out and also to absorb the force when there’s no upwards travel left. Like if you had a heavy load in the bed or hit a really big bump.

14” is just the overall length of his shock when compressed. To determine if something is “good” (as far as travel goes) you look at the overall travel from compressed to extended. My shock has 11” of travel, and that’s pretty decent. Stock is maybe 7”? Once you get to 12” and 14” travel shocks, you’re talking a massive amount of droop and you also need to relocate where the shock mounts.

 That’s a conversation between you two. Also he said your sliders just got dropped off at powder coat and should be ready in a couple weeks.

Yea I didn't talk to him about it before I ordered. Completely my bad. If he's willing to comp me great, if not he's still a good guy and I have no prob supporting his biz. He did order me a long sleeve after all.

    Thanks!

Odd OME (or even HSOR) doesn't post the travel amount on their website.

I'm BAAACCCKKKK!!!! Camping was awesome, even with all the rain. Yesterday evening winds were aweful, enough to make me scare! But everything is fine and we are back home, with rain, again lol

    Canadian rainwater is filtered.

    Edit: It also tastes minty.

Rather than taking the time to go to Walmart for their cheap oil (fuck that) I just bought two jugs and got free two day shipping. $24 a jug.
