These kits on Amazon are trash. Plastic covers split in two pieces when even the slightest pressure is applied to them. Cam locks don't fit tight. The doors flop around when locked. Ad claims that they are custom bent for perfect fit. Bend isn't correct and cause ill fitting doors. I cannot endorse this product. Waste of money.

I have one of these kits as well as one of my friends and we have not had the multitude of issues you had, which is very interesting.

The seller of those kits is actually here on TW @stlntaco he answers questions very quickly and even helped me install them without asking when i picked up a set locally.

Install is super easy, only complex part is widening the hole for the cam lock itself, maybe you made yours too large?

The kits are good to go, no worries getting them from him directly here or off of Amazon.

works good enough for some youtubers as well.

Thanks for the tag! It was great hanging out with you today to install the lock kit.
As far as the original post goes... over 100 kits have been installed and everybody loves them. I’m an avid member of Tacomaworld and I try my absolute hardest to get back to all questions quickly. I spent multiple days talking to the op about the product and I would be happy to post pictures of our conversation for all to see.

The cam levers are custom bent and do fit the doors perfectly. I am dealing with mass production here and not all the cubby slots are cut the same. I’m not out to take anyones money or screw anyone over. If anyone purchases the product and has a problem PLEASE contact me and I will get everything fixed for you wether it be me sending you new parts or a refund.
    Thanks guys

Can you get these kits with one key? I’d like to replace them all with locks. As the stock latches are broke. Thanks.

    Daniel,
The kits come keyed alike. You'll be able to use one key.

Hey @stlntaco are you still making this mod for the Tacoma? I just bought a 2020 Taco TRD OFDB and want to be able to lockdown some straps on the bed. TIA!

Do you have a direct link for it? This takes me to generic search string.

If you want all 4 latches to be locks then you would need 2 kits. I only have one lock in each door to prevent people from stealing the door itself. If you put anything valuable in there I would recommend the two kits.

If someone wants in bad enough they will get in. It keeps people from stealing and selling the doors because you have to ruin the door to get it out.
