if its 4x4 TRD Off Road i probably would.
I sold my 1996 regular cab 4x4 2.7 with 99K miles for that price a year and a half ago.
But it was in excellent conditions for being twelve years old

I am mainly concerned with it having 195k miles. never owned anything with high miles like that...how many "good miles" to you think it has left?

7 years old with 200k miles = about 30k miles per year
at that rate, the truck must have an oil change every 3k miles or 10 times a year or almost once a month
If he kept it serviced on time, i think the truck should be fine.

Sounds like a fair price as long as it is in as good as shape as they say.

What one person calls good shape might be beat to hell to another.

The condition is the million dollar question, there are 50k mile tacomas here which have had a ROUGH life and 200k ones that were highway queens which, provided regular maintenance was done, should easily take you to 300k.

My '96 has 194k and does need new fluids and suspension, but it runs dead nuts. Idles at 750 with zero hesitation, engine shows no signs of being tired.

If the original coils and leafs are on it, they will need to be replaced, which could put you back another $500-$1,000, depending on what you choose for replacement parts and who does the work. The OEM stuff sucks (even "TRD," woohoo, what a scam), so you'd likely want to go aftermarket.

Have the frame checked by a dealership before you buy anything.

If it were me, I wouldn't buy it. Too many miles. I'd rather spend a little more money and get something a little newer with less miles and make sure the frame is good.

yeah I told the seller I am passing on the deal. I can't justify it because of the mileage.

The next person who realizes miles are relative and a result of the conditions and care that truck received could be getting a great deal. But understood if the miles scared you away.
