After parting ways with Ben in Boise, we headed southwest towards California - and the start of our next trip! Along the way, several cool discoveries, and memories of trips past, and I finally got to weigh the truck. Man, it's not light!

It doesn’t. I have to take the bed cover off to use the rack and tent. It’s an all pro apex rack, but I recommend staying away from them. Customer service sucks.

Apex rack from all pro, nice rack, but they are the suck on business practices

That is very nice, but I'm leaning towards the CBI tapered rack for my 2nd Genimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

9049DADC-9B8F-444C-9101-DF96D475C340.jpg Sorry if this is a dumb question but do I need bed stiffeners if I have a RTT? I’ve been using mine for a few months now and no issues but just wanted to know if it’s going to cause issues later on.

I would, that's a lot of weight stuck up there. Plus, one more truck thing to anxiously wait for.

As DoorDing perfectly stated above, maybe, maybe not. Too me it was cheap insurance and one of the first things I did when I bought my truck. One less thing to worry about.

Here's a short bed pic with a 10.5ft SUP. Usually i strap my cargo net arount the end of it to keep it from sliding out, but I think this is teh best way I've carried it yet. was very secure.

Did anyone reply to you on this? I just mounted my RTT to a prinsu rack on the cab. I did have to get shorter bolts. I can send you some pics if you haven't done it already

I'd be interested to know what you think of supporting the Tepui with 2 Mobtown bed bars. I've been thinking of a similar setup for my 2016 TRD OR AC. Mostly solo outings for me but I'm 230lbs and I want something sturdy and capable of supporting both me and my wife if she joins me on outings.

How are you finding the load capacity of the FrontRunner bars ? Is it sturdy enough for your setup? I'm considering either Mobtown or Front Runner bed bars for a RTT.
