Made it to the garage! I still have to re-locate CB antenna mount, clean up the topper, and psych myself up for the install. Not today....but soon.20180728_101205.jpg 20180728_101147.jpg

Gonna install it as is and take a look. May not paint. You made the 4th "leave it the way it is" vote in addition to Sandy and me....

OK....@ work for now, but should be leaving in about 90 minutes.... Sandy is going somewhere with her sister. So I have the place to myself! I picked up everything I need to re-route CB antenna, and relocate it to rear bumper. That happens first. Then the topper goes on. Once it's clamped down, I'll start hooking up the lighting. Should be a 2-3 hour job. There's a shop across the highway from where I work that sells and installs ARE toppers. I had a short conversation with their shop foreman on Friday. He's given me all the "need to know" info. I'll be headed their way after mine is on, to talk about ARE factory roof racks, etc...

With a degree of luck....Should be a picture of finished product on here before the day is over.

What I don't get is we have been camping all summer long several times near or above 100 during the days and people are still having roaring camp fires. No thank you, next beer please lol

Topper is done. Took 90 minutes. Antenna move helped radio reception. Topper fit perfect.

Then I got called back into work. Pictures later.

Done! Radio works better with antenna in new location....truck rides better with additional weight....cubic shit-ton of stuff in back seat is now in bed.

    Win-win-win.

Now....Next idea rattling around inside my brain....RTT on a topper?

And why haven't I put the Sport hood I have in my garage on the truck yet?

Next purchase...Either roof rack or snorkel?

    JACKPOT!

On the way home I decided to stop at the car wash and vacuum 2 weeks of crap out of my interior. I had a car wash token that was left on a washing machine at the laundry near work. I took a load of mop heads there to wash for my housekeepers. Dropped that bad boy in and bells started ringing! 59 minutes and 59 seconds....

    I used about 6 minutes.

Before I left, I told a couple others that were washing cars that the vac would be on free cruise control for a while....

Suck away to your hearts content

OK....Bargain of the year... $250 topper.

Just got an offer. $900. Crap! The used car salesman in me is about to choke....

    Hard to say no.

But I'm saying no. For now.

Time to start relining reels, cleaning out tackle boxes, and getting ready to count how many smallmouth bass are in Northern Michigan.

Leaving here a week from today. Won't be there long. It doesn't take me long to catch 'em all!:D
