Truck made it up engineer...a few narrow and off camber areas that were a bit sketchy without a spotter since her wide as didn't fit on the lines.

    0727181351b_HDR.jpg

Cut south after going up to Odom (i think) point at the top of engineer.

Camped at the top of California Pass for sunset, moon rise and sunrise trifecta.

    0727182051.jpg

Got to the bottom of Corkscrew, and it's a madhouse of Texas Wheelchairs prepping to wreak havoc. Yesterday wasn't too busy at all. But quite a few switchbacks are getting really bad and off camber due to people using full throttle instead of intelligence.

    And because fluffy...

I really don’t have much desire to go back down there because of this.

This was cool yesterday.. First ones appeared and disappeared before i knew what happened.

This one came in high, dove into the valley and zipped out the other side.

Thanks... Was pretty annoyed that i haven't replaced my camera lens, could only do so much with a cell phone and a hiking pole for long exposure.

And one of the coolest things (since i wasn't below), now I've heard it twice was having nobody anywhere around and hearing large rock chunks sheer off cliff faces and hearing it bounce all the way down. You know it happens, but rarely do you get to see our hear it.

Heard some last night at California Pass, and a few weeks ago in the black canyon.

Not sure how soon you are hoping to do the work, one more week of school for me then my last final...evaaar and then I'll be free. I'd don't have any experience with cutting bedsides but would be more than happy to "help" out when you decide to start surgery.

In @NYCO 's defense, he does a lot of his driving offroad.
    Go easy on him.

I’m not in a huge rush. Would rather get it done well than quickly. I’d appreciate any help thanks man. Sounds like @thefatkid has a concrete saw we can use haha!

    Well that happened..

    0728181746_HDR.jpg

Full size without a lift made the obstacles harder and the first switchback was the main issue with a huge rock protruding from the ground right where the front bumper needed to be.

    After clearing the first switchback
    0728181822_HDR.jpg

If you want to know about the driving.. @kashtyaatsi was behind the wheel.

I psyched myself out when we walked it from the top since i did some tippy stuff yesterday...and I wasn't about to start something like that in the wrong mindset.

But i wouldn't suggest doing it in a full size (mainly length) truck without a lift or better approach/descent angles.

Edit: and telluride sucks for dinner or beer, not much open.

Impressive! Those switchbacks weren't that easy in a Tacoma much less a giant Tundra. Guess I need to take the Sequoia on it now.

Slight lift would make the obstacles leading up to it much easier... Other than first one, others were simple and pretty flat, just tight
