Yes. The other difference being regular cab, extra cab and double cabs are not interchangeable. Somebody told me that they were with an extension piece, but I got the frame specs from one of the SA dealers and found out this was not true. Also, there is an extension piece for the long bed, which I think I am going to need.

Yes. I can't do the work myself. Health, age, etc...But I have a guy with a body shop whose going to do it. His shop does insurance stuff so he has to go by the book and see the frame first. In SW SA.

 

That’s a good deal, if you can a take lot of pictures throughout the frame replacement. I never done one on a taco. Done a many of big equipment

I never did one on a taco either. A Monza, a Camaro and a couple of '67 VW Bugs I lent a hand on. Never a Toyota.

 

@Bigdaddy4760 do you have pics and specs on the found frame? ASAP, when I get them to the body shop.

I've been looking as well for a frame on Craigslist no luck

 

There's a beautiful one in Lakeland FL for $550, but the suburbs of Tampa are quite a detour for me and a Uhaul. I am considering it though. Somebody here on Tacoma world posted a link two weeks ago and as of Thursday, the guy still had it.
