If anyone could please get my tow strap from Louie and bring it back to camp when you come down, I’d greatly appreciate it. It’s in the back of his truck, but I know he’s staying at the condo in town, so I’m sure if I’ll see him later.

    Thanks

Yes i am majorly bummed, I was really looking forward to this trip. I am glad that my steering went out locally instead of up there in mammoth. That would not have been good at all.

Yep, all is great. But the road to laurel lakes got a little sketchy for a couple of us 2WD guys. Had to break out some recovery gear to get up one section. Great trail though!

Some sections weren’t bad, but there were a couple of rocky climbs that I didn’t want to chance it. I ended up parking my truck and riding up with Patrick. The 4WD trucks had no issues going up though.

@butters_ thanks for stepping up today to help some of the guys that got stuck. Any chance you can either send my ham radio back with one of the guys, or stop by camp to drop it off.

Thanks! I gave the tow strap to the guy in the black first gen.

The train stopped on a incline and once we got going again, my 2wd was slipping on the incline. Butters had to pull me up. Thanks Butters! Waved the white flag and parked it.

Thanks David and Adriana for the off road uber ride to the lake.
