Aftermarket MT shift knobs

Well, it's probably about the size of the main part of stock knob, like if you shave off the part beyond the weird plastic divider (if that makes sense?).

No problem, let me know how you like it. I have only fitted it on mine with the V4 and the two rubber o rings and it's been solid since I've posted last. Curious to see how it works for more people.

Used a rubber grommet from a groomer kit I had to secure the boot

Thanks for posting this! I'm new to 3D printing. This is like my 3rd thing to attempt since getting my printer. Turned out pretty good, I think! Now to just decide which look I like. On one hand, I like the grommet and the old-school look of more stick showing (and I like having that part under my small knob...jokes to ensure), but on the other hand your part looks cleaner I think. Thoughts anyone?

 

I mean, I might be biased if I'm voting . You can try the L version and it may bring the boot lower but I'm not sure where it will settle.

 

Here's the "L" version. I may like it better. With the smaller knob, it leaves my fingers room under the knob. Plus, showing more of the stick like that is like a throwback...reminds me of my '80 Yota 4x4 4speed.

 

I was in the office cleaning stuff up and printed both versions. I do suck at support material.

I reamed the hole a bit. For my liking, it could be even lower. I'd recommend matching the ID of the collar?

My try at finishing it kind of sucked. I printed it with a 0.2mm layer height. I should have went with 0.1mm.

 

I may pick this up again in a bit to seeing if I can't make the hole bigger to bring it down lower but glad it's at least working

Thanks again for the file, @duckytw as I've printed both the v4 and L versions. This time I printed a second L version and oriented it to print flat as opposed to vertical. I got a much cleaner piece...and I think it came out perfect! Debating on painting it black.

 

Been messing with a idea for a knob for mine. Don’t have a way to make a clip to reattach boot but this is as far as I’ve got so far. Made one for my brother along with a 4wd knob but haven’t decide the shape I want for mine yet. Really digging the ball but idk if I can engrave a radius very well, still a noob with mastercam.

I have this one and like it a lot. I weighed it at some point, but don't remember what it was. I posted about it somewhere, I'll see if I can find it

 

Just installed.... Raceseng Slammer 635 grams. Very happy with it so far, just a tad cold this time of year.
