Yep. That idea i had a while back for a quick access hatchet mount. Calm smiling guy with a hatchet intimidates many lightweight criminals.

Haha. Reminds me of something that happened to a coworker here in memphis a few years ago.

He was walking up to door of a convenience store and this guy says something like "hey man, didn't we go to school together" and holds out a hand introducing himself. During the handshake, dude gripped tight and didn't let go. Asked for some money. My friend squeezed thug's hand right back, nodded toward his car and said "listen, i don't really wanna woop your ass in front of my son there but i will if i have to". Dude let go and walked off.

Not the same thing. That’s a limited slip. Would be more traction than your open diff, but still not a locker.

My thoughts... if you’re going to wheel, get a rear locker.

    What Carter said.
It's a small increase in traction and would be great for doing burnouts in an Xrunner, but offroad when you're already in a pinch and you need a real locker.. then you need a real locker. LSD just won't cut it in most technical offroad situations

Gotcha. While waiting for a reply, I was doing some reading. I always thought they were a locker acted like an open diff on the road until one wheel loses traction. I've now learned they are not capable of sending 100% of the torque to the opposite wheel if needed. That is no bueno.

This would be much better for On-road use than the powertrax, but you'd suffer some off-road performance. That's a heck of a deal on one though! As far as LSD's go the TrueTrac is the top of the line! Being gear driven vs clutch they don't burn out like most LSD's. I had one in the front diff of my Ford, combined with Detroit rear locker. The off-road performance was awesome! :mudding::thumbsup:

That's why I was asking about it. If it had the performance I thought it did, I'd have snatched it up quick. I think I'm go the route Justin did and lock it front and rear. The Ms. is just gonna have to learn not to drive my truck. That's the only think holding me back from at least getting one in the rear.

Really won't be a problem if she drives it, unless its extremely wet or icey outside. Girlfriend drives mine without issue every once in a while, and she's learned how to do it without chirping the tires on every turn too

Do a lockright over a powertrax.

My ex-gf drove my lunchbox locked T4R and Tacoma with no issues in snow, ice, etc.
