Received the first PreRunner hubs today, however they did not include the nut as with previous threaded hubs I ordered. I contacted my guy, he said this model doesn't include those-which will now make the price of the PreRunner assemblies $390.

I was 4 the very first time I turned a wrench, in an attempt to change the flat tire on my bicycle. I managed to swap it with one from an old bike in back of my dad's shed but didn't have the strength to tighten it securely- an hour later it came off and I flew over the handle bars. I learned very early on that torquing to spec matters . I've been turning wrenches nearly my whole life. I've worked on BMW's assembly line in SC and graduated first in my class in Naval aviation maintenance school to do my current job, which I currently have eight years experience. Through the US Dept of Labor, I've completed my journeyman twice; first, for electrician and then maintenance mechanic. I've always had a reflex to innovate and improve, so I took advantage of an opportunity to get lean and six sigma trained. I thought it would help me exercise the business theory I learned at Clemson. I say all this because sometimes people want/need to see certifications to legitimize someone's ability. With that in mind, I reached out and learned I qualify to earn ASE certifications as long as I can pass their tests. The A3 Manual Drive Train and Axles certification covers these bearing/hub assemblies, so I tested- since last week, I'm an ASE certified technician. I hope this legitimize's my knowledge, ability and experience for anyone that is concerned with the quality and build process of these bearing assemblies. I get a lot of joy out of delivering my fellow TW enthusiast the highest quality bearing assemblies for a fair price and in a reasonable time.

I need to check my front bearings for wear and may replace them even if they seem to be OK just becasue of age, will these front hub/bearing assemblies fit a 2WD 2004 4Runner?

You mentioned S. C. and Clemson, are you located in S.C., if so where?

I live in S. C. and if I get a set from you it may work out that we are close enough to save you from having to box and ship them.

    Skip
