kewl. who knows, if you do this soon enough, *and* I can get permission to come, maybe I bring the 'to-be-sold-soon' tacoma, and just sleep in the back. i'm recently retired, she's still working, and I'm on a tight budget for this next year or two until we finish sorting retirement life out. we already bought a bunch of moderately expensive concert tickets for the next couple months, so my calendar is full of those, plus my astronomy club events.

I'd sell the Taco tomorrow for $18k as-is.... its not filthy, but it needs a thorough detailing, inside and out to make it look spiffy again. I know it shines up real good, it only has 36000 total miles on it, but detailing cars really kills my hands and elbows nowdays :(

Silver 2008 access cab trd off road 4x4 6 speed stick shift, with 36000 total miles, 16k under the original owner, 20k by me :)

The KO2's I put on it when I got it 2 years ago have 20K miles now, still look to have 70% of their tread front and rear. mods include body matched snugtop shell with Yakima roof rack bars, nerf steps, firestone airbags (manually inflate left and right separately), bed mat, better bilsteins, pioneer bluetooth/cd stereo, perm installed ram mount for cellphones... all in the last 2 years and 20k miles. I have the nearly-new TRD seat covers that were on since new when I got it... its only been gently wheeled by a Old Guy (me). the driver side nerf bar is bent back about 1/2" because of a rock strike because I was stupid and didn't go wide enough on a trail in Death Valley and my wife freaked so we turned around :-/

out of the 20k miles I put on it, maybe 5-7k of them were towing a ~ 3000 lb trailer, mostly on highways in 5th.

When I sold my softopper I folded it in half and boxed it up. I took two boxes from Home Depot and taped them together to fit. Worked fine for FedEx. Wish your topper was for a LB.

So you’re selling a casita? Hmmm wife liked the one we saw recently. Price?

*I* thought it was worth $13.5k. wife thinks we should ask more. I need to put new tires on it next week, the tires I thought were 2-3 years old are in fact 10 years old, and the tread is flaking off.

It is a 2008 Casita 16 Spirit Deluxe. the 16 has a small AC mounted under the front closet, instead of a roof a/c, and it has a 5'11" inside ceiling to keep the overall height to a minimum so it can fit in a garage. it has a smaller 3-way (ac/dc/propane) fridge than the 17, the water and grey tanks are smaller. the shower+toilet is the same. the dinette is a few inches smaller.

Nice, yeah those things are pricey these days. Only seem a few on CL and I’m sure you could get that.

Any ideas on how to compress some King springs at home? I have the parts store McPherson compressors but they don’t fit between the coils. Not trying to bring it to a shop if I can.

    that's HAWT!!!! :) !!!!

    ain't this about a bitch?

i went in through an open gate off of Huntington Lake Road in between Big Creek and Shaver Lake and got stuck inside the gate at Mammoth Pool Powerhouse. fortunately, some Edison guy randomly came by and let me out. the moral of the story is don't explore California because the entire state is owned by someone who is looking to tell you to 'Get off my lawn!'.

i was going to head up to Bass Lake for more antics but you can see the smoke in the powerhouse pic and i figured any further N and it was bound to be uncomfortable so i fueled up in Coarsegold and tried to find a county road north to meet up with the red track which was my original plan. the purple track show where i tried to find routes but kept running into locked gates.

so get the fuck off my lawn!

Edison Lake was pretty but ultimately lame because there's a paved road all the way in. this part of the Sierras is hiker friendly but not so good for 4x4 due to lack of roads and fuel.
