In my last tacoma I always just put 5 quarts in it. Ran fine till I traded it in at 209k. Was always in the middle of the dipstick when I checked it.

 

Trick is to let 5quarts drain out first.

 

Kinda looks like an oil change Rotopax, Chad.

 

That was after I drained it. lol

 

Almost like almost about to put a bumper on? When is the install.

 

Couldn't get my damn oil filter to break free so I had to run to the shop and get this tool.



Letting the truck cool down for a minute. Wish me luck in round 2!

 

Just sitting here in the parts room. Havnt even unwrapped it to look at the PC job.

I prefer using this one Chad.... gets the job done better in tight corners

 

When everything else fails.

Pound it into the filter.

 

It's stupid how tight some shops screw the on oil filter on. It's not a dang axle nut you idiots.

Chad, just hand tighten it. It's harder to take off than put on.

Did you drain the oil first?

 

Wanted to make sure I could get that sucker off before I drained it.

Since I hand tightened it this time, next time I'll drain first.

Then let it run for a few minutes and checked the level. Added the full 5.5qrts.

Does anybody else have a little trouble getting a good read with fresh oil? Mine appears to be close to the full mark, but kinda unclear.
