    Hi All,

I’m planning on installing an Icon 3-AAL and wanted to know the best way to remove the existing retainer clip on our OEM leaf springs.

I’ve read that one of the retainer clips get in the way of the new leaf springs.

I’ve watched a couple of YouTube videos but none of them is really clear on how to do it. Thanks

    Grind off the rivet.

The round rivet sticking out of the bottom of the clip?

I took my stock leaves apart and ground the rivet from the backside with a Dremel tool. Took forever but that is all I had at the time.

Do you have to remove the retainer clip on a 2018 TRD Off road to install the Icon AAL? If so, which one?

I used a 4" grinder with a cutoff wheel to cut the head of the rivet off. Then cut halfway through the bracket and broke it in half to remove it.

    The rear retainer
