I didn’t go @Darkgoatracer bailed, weather looked like crap and I got sick on Thursday.

 

Need help installing my antenna and the cb. Can someone send a picture of the bottom of their antenna (where it connects to the wire) and how you ran it through the cabin?

 

I’m not very tech savvy but I need a new laptop for my work. The last time I bought was a Mac in 2008. I like Apple but don’t want to spend that much at this time. Can anyone recommend a good PC laptop? Also, I have an iPad so not really looking for the tablet hybrid type.

 

Crab tree falls was pretty sweet. Great hike for the family. Weather was great and cooled at night. Found a nice secluded camp site and got a good fire going after a little exploring. Saw a half shell fast back HUMV with pretty cool camp Setup. Slept great which is rare. Kids and wife had a blast which is a win for Dad.

The truck just wasn't ready. It will be for the next event though. Now its limit strapped, super bumped, and will be getting braced upfront shortly.

 

Yeah a couple of roads were closed and some a little washed out so we decided to turn around and settled on a campsite. But the hike is nice from top to bottom or bottom to top. Plus it connects to Appalachian trail. Good day trip if you head out early. But decent camping as well.

 

How are you running yours? This is mine with a @Shmellmopwho mount.

I sealed mine with blue silicone.

 

I put the mount in the back of the bed, but not sure how I am going to run the chord through yet. Also, the stupid mount I got didnt even come with the right adapter thing for the antenna, so I have to wait for another one to come from Amazon.

 

I have an HP spectre that I have used since 2015 and it’s still kicking. The new spectre is even better from what a coworker has told me (he loves his). About $1k to $1200. I like the HP envy stuff too.

Do you have a budget in mind? If you can wait, deals will probably start coming up to make room for next years computers.

 

You put it on the bed rails?
If you did, easiest way would be drill a hole in the bed, run it underneath along the frame rails, zip tied to the existing wires. Then enter through the cab, Into the grommet that I posted.

That grommet is underneath the carpet, under the driver seat. Take off the plastic door sill piece, lift up carpet and ittl be there.

I ran mine up alongside the vents under the seat, ran it forward and attached it to the radio. The radio is velcroed to the carpet, for easy removal.

I spliced the radio wires into a 12 volt plug, that way I can plug it into the 12 volt plug into the center console. I can take it out when I'm not using it, so if I leave it on I don't drain the battery
