Here's the lift I have on my worktruck if you want some more ideas. It's kinda pricey but it 12v and I have 2 base plates so I can use it on the front of the bed (where it usually is) or move it to the rear. As far as a lift, it's pretty simple.

 

Nice heavy duty truck crane , what's the capacity ??

 

As the boom is pinned there about 550lbs. I think max is around 900-1000 but you don't get much reach with the boom almost straight up.

We moved in almost a month BEFORE signing, seller didn’t care, just mow the lawn he said. It was the first and LAST time I push mowed this lawn!

 

I had something similar in my old plumbing truck. Was as strong as the floor and bolts

This one's pretty cool. There's a base plate bolted to the bed with backing plates and 1/2" bolts. The base plates have a 2" square receiver in the middle so the entire boom just plugs in. You can even fold it all down and put it away but I keep it out so it's there when I need it.

 

I have a few ways of lifting stuff these days. I just can't handle lifting big stuff anymore. It pretty much kills my back. I don't use that lift very much but it has saved me a few times. I keep it strapped to the spare and out of the way.

Would have to modify most of the roof trusses.
concrete is only 3000psi and not thick enough.

Yea even with a red neck patch planned on a backup blower I kinda have my work cut out for me.

 

I am surprised you don't have a engine host mine has never had an engine on it lol but anything I could rig that was heavy has been . Lol

They have foldup engine hoists which would work.
