Total chaos long travel FJ or 4R is next tho. Something I can drive 6 hours. Wheel. Drive home. And to the grocery store and work. I want to take some trips to Colorado and Arkansas really bad and the taco was too extreme and small to comfortably make those drives in.

Want something i can explore more in basically and have room to bring another body. Whether it be family member, gf or friend. The single cab didn’t suit my goals.

Off-roading in luxury.

 

Looked into it. Hard. It’s a hard option to pass up cause it’s basically a 4R with more power and more luxuries. And they’re even cheaper(like $12k for a used one. The fuck?). But I don’t wanna deal with the air ride and limited aftermarket bumpers and stuff.

I learned that from the tundra. Like $700 for “heavy duty steps” not even sliders.

The Gx is also a lot bigger than I would enjoy. I want a nimble SUV that’s not huge. So a older 4R or a FJ fits my wants the most.


Speaking of which... it’s so much cheaper to make the rears flex than tacos. Like $2k for a complete bolt in no fab required rear set up. That’s insane. I’m excited to try out a SUV on links finally.

 

I got my GX for $9k cash. I love it. And if you plan to Offroad you’ll just swap out the air suspension anyways. Plus a lot of vendors are starting to hit the GX platform.

 

Another thing is resale. Eventually kids are gonna happen and they’re gonna come with. It’s a lot harder to sell a gx with scratches and dents than a FJ.

 

Why sell the GX. Plenty of room for kids

New owner did donuts in the taco today for a test drive. It’s officially sold and out of my hands for good. It’ll be on tons and big tires soon

 

The guy who built and owns this truck is the one who bought it.
