Completely agree. If I were him I’d just purchase a new ECU. Too many things can go wrong.

Any of you guys have experience with the performance of the toytec BOSS coil overs? Reason being is my OME struts have about 70k on them with the lower shock mount rubber being almost completely gone and causing abnormal tire wear. Found a set on CL for 500 with a fresh rebuild. Around 10k miles with less than 2k in the rebuild. Any input is appreciated.

Hahaha yes I am! Just been bustin my ass workin! Ran a trail up north here in CO and noticed my front end problems and also caused another...rear bearing was shot and wore out the seals causing diff fluid to be flung everywhere...fml lol. Trying to find a reputable person to do the press work who knows about the whole flipping the retainer for the newer style inner seal and what not so I don’t have this shit happen again! Better it happen now rather than when I’m back at school I guess lol

I've been running mine for about two years now (install here); they've been reasonably good in that time - holding up lots of weight with all my armor and a full load out (I'm at 2700 lbs on the front and 5520 overall according to my weigh-in two weeks ago).

I've put about 40K miles on them in that time - lots of dirt in that as well (15K or so); they've never let me down, and I've never noticed them fatiguing.

That said, my next set won't be the BOSSes - I'm going to go for something a bit higher end and more easily tunable and rebuildable. ADS or Kings likely. I think the ToyTec's are a great "starter" set or "light-use" set...but I'm not sure that describes your use :).

...for $500, you're looking at a great price though, even if you just use those for a year, that's not bad.

Yep, this. ^^^ Except that I didn't get a better set to begin with; I got the BOSS's and now I'm going to get a better CO. LOL.

That’s what my mind says but that’s not what my bank account wants right now haha. If I could I would. I need these to hold me over till next spring/summer till I can afford a nice mid travel setup.

That’s what I like to hear. Like I said to Monte, just to keep me goin for another 8 months or so. Thanks for your input much appreciated! I agreed with the guy on 450 for em
