    For wheels?

Someone can correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think there’s any difference in price. If there is, I’m sure it’s minimal.

There’s a difference in wheel price but nothing crazy. Maybe $10-15/wheel

can anyone tell me what to do about the air pressure sensors? Do I get new ones from the toyota dealer? I was thinking I was just going to sell the stock wheels/tires and it seems that given the labor cost to take the sensors off the OEM and switch them to the new wheels that I might as well just get new ones? and anyone buying the hem set would probably want sensors anyway?

I kept mine and paid less than $100 to have new tires mounted and TPMS transferred. How much were you quoted?

Same here - I just swapped my existing TPMS sensors to my new tires/wheels.

No, tires, in reference to 16" pizza cutters vs 17" pizza cutters, what are the price comparisons?

I was quoted $840 for a set of fallen at/3 installed on the new rims but they didn't say anything about the TPMS. Ill have to call them back in the morning and check. Tires alone are about $740 so the mounting and balancing is about $100

My tire shop didn’t charge anything to move them over. It takes less than a minute to do once the tire is off the wheel. I wouldn’t buy new ones, I’d just find a shop to do it as part of the deal.

Tires would depend on rating. Sometimes they will be E rated in the 16” but C rated in the 17”. E rated usually costs more because there’s more rubber.

Yes, you're right, that is typically how it goes. Nitto Ridge Grapplers though are an exception. Their C & E rated tires are only $4 different in price in the same 265/70r17 size, and about the same different in weight, like 4 lbs. I'm sure though these are the exception to the rule.

And I'm just referring to an apples to apples version difference between 16" and 17". There is one other major advantage to 16" wheels when you run the same diameter tire as a 17" wheel, and that is you get 1" more sidewall. More sidewall is always better for wheeling than a lower profile version of the tire. I've been told.

If the same diameter and width 16" tire is cheaper than the 17" version then it becomes a win win situation. I think also though, some people with 16" wheels upgrade to 17" so they can run the Tundra big brake kits in the rear, which are supposed to be better for wheeling too.

If the differences are minimal then it's not worth going nuts over. If I had to drop down a size to get a special wheel or tire though it wouldn't bother me.

Just an update to the thread, I still have these brushed copper wheels. I've gotten lots of responses but shipping to the West coast where every TW member seems to hail from is not cheap.

Anyone in the Midwest want these?

Did you check FedEx? That's how mine came. Left coast to right coast. Not a bad price for all 5 with insurance.

@hrivera007 any rubbing with the 16x8 Ray 10s and oem tires? I'm assuming no lift... Thinking about running this setup myself while I save for tires and lift.

Are the -10 17x8.5" the same as the old 17x8.5" w/ 4.30 backspacing?

TPMS from the OEM alloy wheels will fit fine, but sensors from steelie will usually not be a direct fit on aftermarket alloy wheels like ours.
