Hope you got it out! They can be a bitch! Best advice if you have no tools....pull hard and if it doesnt come out push it back in and turn it a 1/4 turn. It can take a lot more force than you'd think to get the clip to let goes.

I picked up these since I had to do a couple half shafts and got annoyed after the first one lol. If you have a pickle fork you might be able to get the same concept. It doesnt take much so dont go pounding on them. Just a couple taps and itll pop out.

    It's not out :(

I tried wedging it out with a tie rod pickle fork, now it's part way out and stuck. The ones you showed look a lot better.

I'm assuming the ones you posted the link to are the ones you used? Those are big enough to fit around inner cv joint right?

Thank you for your help. :)

I didn't use them on the truck yet. Have only used them on cars. Jack stands and having to be under makes it hard to get leverage. Those work nice as you just tap them and the inner shaft pops out. They make a slide hammer attachment too.

They can be a pain but they will come out even with just a small prybar or even just pulling. It gives confidence in those little clips that's for sure!

Is it stuck stuck or can you get it back in?

It's stuck, I don't know if I can get it back in, I haven't tried that.

Are they big enough to fit the truck? There are no dimension in the description, I've sent 2 dust cap pullers back to Amazon because there are no size specs in the description.

I'm not at home to measure sorry.

I'd try pushing it back in and trying to pull it out again. It shouldn't get "stuck" as all that there is is the small clip on the end to hold it in. Other wise it's just the splines in the spider gear and the needle bearing which don't really hold it in

If you're home later today it'd be most helpful if you could measure it.

Thank You again for your help.

Don't laugh. Do you have any idea how much engineering went into that design? (before I took it off my truck)

The area it must fit around on the Tacoma is 2.56" so no go on that one :(

Need a bigger base plate. You’ll twist that one right out of the ground.

if you still haven't got it out, try using a wood chisel they are small enough you can get in there and pry it out flat.

I put a 2' pry bar in there and I couldn't pry it out. I turned it and pried in different spots so as not to bind it but that didn't work.

Look at the bright side. Oh wait it's still dark. I will be doing the same next week unless they shut down all everything. Nothing like welding out in the middle of the woods to keep you on your toes.
