I really like my Fiskars hatchet I got from crappy tire, came with a blade sharpener that works really well.

I LOVE my Wetterlings hand forged forest axe. Splits like a beast.

I’m just running a cheap princess auto special. Sharpened it at home. So far so good.

I'm planning a camping trip. I'd like some advice as to where to go. I was thinking of hitting up crown land somewhere near Algonquin. Any one know of some isolated camping spots with good views?

At this time of the season everywhere is busy. If you want to go to Algonquin I would suggest camping at the north (Brent) area, less people there in my experience.

    OR

Hit the Manitoulin Island (I love taking that ferry, although its pricy). There are plenty remote places and no OPP ;)

If you are planning on coming that far North for camping, maybe VMUTS can be your destination. It is almost 100% crown land, has the views, and camping right on the trails.

Fun weekend, we had helicopter landing near our camp site and then met with them again at the end of the North Trail.
No damage for Toyota guys, the Jeep guy on the other hand lost his ABS wire :sadviolin: , "It's a Jeep Thing" (c).
