Ok. So still can't decide on setup. Read 100s of posts. Can anyone chime in on their setup, pros and cons. I am going with the 888 coil. Just need to decide on shocks. (5100, 5100 extended or OME) Also, is there a major lift difference between the 5100 and the Extended kit from Headstrong. Or is it more for the down travel? Not doing any crazy off-roading. Light trails, mountain trips, etc. Would like to fit 33s with minimal cutting and closest I can get to 3in

The regular 5100 should be good for you then.

Would you get 3in out of it? With the 888 coils?

You’ll need/ want UCAs if you go above 2” of lift.. just to correct geometry and be able to get correct alignment.

I fit 33s under my Tacoma with the 5100s and an AAL in the rear. The reason my front cleared was because of my trail gear bumper. You’ll likely need to do some trimming up front and you’ll need either aftermarket wheels or spacers. If you do spacers, go with spidertrax. I initially cheaped out and bought an off brand (and they claimed they were huh centric) and nearly shook my truck to pieces.

Ya I was going to do light racing UCA from headstrong. Is there a major lift difference in the extended 5100s vs standard?

Ok. So no added benefit to the extended then, esp if not going offroading?

And what about the standards, since they cant run the Dakars? Whats the added benefit of the Dakars with the OME kit or extended 5100 vs the standard with 3aal?

we talking fronts or rears? if you are doing a new leafpack in rear, likely will want an extended shock. Once you decide, talk with Marie at order time just to make sure it all makes sense. she deals with this stuff daily.

does the 3aal yield the same amount of lift that the dakars would?

Nope, they just allow for more travel, which you won’t really need with that setup

So what about the OME with Dakars vs 5100s with 3aal? If I did the OME, I would have to stick with OME shocks since the standard 5100s cant be ran with the Dakars, right?

AAL is extremely stiff. I maxed out the suspension with 5 railroad cross ties

With those AAL in, I put 6 cross ties in there and it only dropped an inch haha.
