Alabama thread!

I found a potentially cool road in bankhead this weekend. Looked like it hadn't been used in a long time (barely even spotted the turn and sign). Had a big tree down across it very early in though.

 

I need some vacation getaway time.

 

Bring a chain saw next time and possibly a winch. I have both

 

I found one of those in my area a while back. Kept going down it and found out why. The road was rutted to the point most vehicles probably couldn't;t make it through there and was like a ghost town out there. All woods and everything overgrown. Was a county road and kinda surprised that it was in that condition but I guess since no one lives out there they don't bother with it.

 

my work today includes tons of 401k reading and how much I wanna contribute and to where!

 

That's always fun if you don't keep up with current market trends and mutual funds.

 

Mine includes banging my head across a keyboard until all these engineering drawings fix themselves or I die. I don't know which will come first at this point and I plan on living a while.

 

My back is killing me today! I power washed for about 5 hours yesterday. I have about 1.5 left to finish up and my drive/porch/sidewalks will be clean.

 

I don't own a chain saw, or even an axe, for that matter. Guess I'll have to just hitchhike with you sometime. I'll post the 2 roads I found when I find my map. There was a second one that was fairly overgrown, but right where it ends on the map it meets a fairly steep berm (barely crawled up in 4hi), but it got narrow enough I didn't want to go in alone, and had a lot of other places to explore before getting bogged down in there.

If I did get stuck, does the stock truck have good places to get pulled out by? Or is there something I can install that would make being saved much easier/safer?

 

I haven't been worth a shit today. My daughter has refused to figure out and differentiate day and night so I have basically held my eyes open with my hands today to get through work. Now I get to go home and rush mow and weedeat my house before it comes a turd floater outside!

 

I need a turd floater! Hasn't rained since I planted my new plants and getting tired of watering them!!

Your truck should have a solid recovery hook on the front. The hitch can also serve as a recovery point for the rear end. All you really need is a hitch pin and a tow strap. Its worked for me in the past.

thanks for sharing this earlier, meant to comment but didn't. we know her well, and have even met him on a ride at the slab once.

I was just texting her the other day, she sent me a photo of her pro grill she had gotten and was discussing wanting to make a ride soon.
