    Just installed new bed rail caps - just align then and snap em' in place - such a breeze! I put down a bead of some black RTV silicone along the inner edge to help with water/dust control, but with the interior design of the rail caps (the plastic grid really sits on the rail), it seems some may still get in when I get my Tonneau Cover. Also installed some RTV in that small gap between the bed rails and the piece that runs along the bed along the cab. The Tonneau Cover I ordered has a flap along the front edge that should cover that anyway. There's one spot about 8" long on each side towards the back where I can see about 1/8" of the bed liner. I'm guessing my old rails caps were slightly deformed with my cap on for 7 years, so when I taped it off, I was a little off. New retainer clips fit nice and tight. Quite happy with how it all turned out.

    Hold the Phone!! Installer error :anonymous:

    I missed the outer most tab toward each end and now the caps completely cover the bed rail as originally planned. They required a quick, firm hit. :woot:

    I also added a strip of textured body panel tape to the top edge of my tailgate...both inside and out. Tucked the outside strip just under the cap lip. I had a strip like that when I had my cap to prevent the rubber seal on the cap door from wearing the paint. I like having that to grip while closing the tailgate.

    Love this!!! I wanna get a 2nd set for when mine needs to be replaced. Had a mobtown tailgate cap but it wasn't that same. Seeing rust from dings & scratches I dont like... plastic it is! Still rock my tailgate skin from mobtown which will be done when my pelfreybilt ifs gets refinished!
